Grassmere was the chosen proponent of a public tender request to perform the site development and construction of a turn-key 4,000 sf pre-engineered building expansion for Woodstock Transit.
Normandale Fish Hatchery
The Challenge:
Turkey Point, ON
Grassmere had to work over top of new foundations and pits to accommodate fish tanks, while also dealing with varying ground elevation. Multiple disciplines and stakeholders were involved, including the owner, a consultant and the general contractor.
The Grassmere Solution:
Grassmere supplied and erected this structure using the CORR-SPAN solution from Behlen Industries. This project was self-performed through our “sister” erection company, KDM Erectors.
The Result:
The 28,000 square foot facility has no interior columns and is supported by the walls, ceiling and truss system, which creates the curved roof. The energy efficiency of the building was enhanced with spray foam insulation on the ceiling and walls.
This great looking new fish hatchery was finished safely and on schedule.
