Christian Horizons

We wanted to take a minute to stress how impressed we are with how you and your sub contractors dealt with the site issues immediately and treated this as an urgent matter. We appreciate your patience and persistence when going back and forth over the cost condensing and modifying the scope of work to align with our funding model.  I would also like to express our appreciation for your respect to our local staff and residents, and if this is how Grassmere Construction treats all their projects, we would be more than happy to continue to work with your team in upcoming projects. Thank you very much to you and your team, and I look forward to working with you again in the near future.

Long Point Region Conservation Authority

Spriet Associates provided the required engineering and Grassmere Construction of Tillsonburg was awarded the tender. Grassmere not only completed the work on time and on budget, but also under very difficult weather conditions. They demonstrated an ability to adapt the project in order to counter construction challenges (on-going flooding of the basement), but also a restoration expertise sensitive to the design and construction of the period.

We were retained by the Long Point Region Conservation Authority to complete structural renovations of the foundations and repair the windows in the Backhouse Grist Mill.

We tendered the project and Grassmere Construction was the low bidder.  They undertook repairs in a professional manner and both the owners were extremely pleased with the outcome.

We would recommend Grassmere Construction for future projects. If you should have any questions, please contact the undersigned.

Gilbane Building Company

On behalf of the Gilbane Building Company, I’d like to submit this testimonial to Grassmere Construction for their outstanding work on Waste Management’s Material Recycling Facility (MRF) project at 505 Conestoga Blvd., in Cambridge, Ontario.

Grassmere Construction was our selected contractor, based on their “best value” proposal for the new preengineered Butler building and associated concrete foundations, slabs on grade and structural “push-walls” required for the project.

Grassmere Construction ranks as one of the best contractors that I have personally worked with (both in Canada and the US). They were extremely well managed by Mike Booth and their field and office staff was very attentive to our project needs. In addition, they were a pleasure to work with, from pre-construction right through to the project’s close-out.

I offer Mike and Grassmere Construction my highest recommendation and most certainly would not hesitate to utilize their services again in the future.

Very Truly Yours,

Brian N. Flodstrom, Project Manager

Otter Valley Foods

“We first entrusted Grassmere Construction with their full service turnkey solution to erecting a two-level 30,000 sq. ft. frozen food manufacturing plant. The plant being composed of blast freezer, storage freezer, coolers, production area, offices and two loading bays.

Our satisfaction in their performance led us again to engage Grassmere in construction of our new larger plant in 1998, and subsequent additions in 1999, 2000 and 2012.

In all instance we found they performed admirably and consistently and achieved our high expectations. I would not hesitate to endorse Grassmere Construction for your building needs.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the work you have done for our company over the past few years. As I am sure you are aware our company has grown significantly from about 8,000 sq. ft. to now over 100,000 sq. ft. This growth would not have been possible without the help and expertise of suppliers such as yourself…There never seemed a job too big or small; you tackled them all with the same level of enthusiasm and professionalism.”

“January 15th was a significant milestone in the life of the Victor Project. This was the target date to have all equipment and raw materials shipped to the DeBeers staging point for the ice road to the Victor Mine Site. Thanks to the concerted efforts of each and every one of you we were able to deliver as promised with only a few minor (manageable) exception. Please convey my appreciation to your teams that I cannot reach by email i.e the Equipment Centre in Beloeil, the Coniston plant, Grassmere and other sub-contractors. The erection of the building for the plant was essentially completed today well ahead of schedule (the parts were flown up by DeBeers in early January). We are now at the mercy of the ice road before we can begin construction and commissioning of the process. From the teamwork I have witnessed so far, I am confident that this final phase in the project will be delivered on time. A special thanks to Robert McMillen and Frank Stanisic (Seneca Engineering) for ensuring that target dates were adhered to in their respective areas of responsibility.”

“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the exceptional work done in constructing a new home for our expanding business. We were looking for the ideal location to house our production facility and not only were you personally helpful in designing the new building, but everyone on the Grassmere team was knowledgeable and courteous in every aspect. We were also very pleased with the constant updates through email, phone and meeting to discuss different ideas and modifications. The project foreman was professional and did an excellent job of coordinating as well as keeping us informed and up to date. We were left to believe this was his first time in such a position and we felt his expertise level speaks to the qualifications and professionalism of Grassmere. All of us; myself, Sharlene Pettit and Scott Stewart; were surprised and pleased to learn that our facility has won a “Butler” North American building award. This is not only helped our business gain some recognition through the local newspaper but also spoke to how well the facility has been constructed. As part of this award, we received a plaque, which we proudly display in our business office. Given our experience and level of satisfaction, we would be more than happy to recommend Grassmere to other who are looking to build or renovate.”
