Prior to commencing construction, we worked with the client for seven years on design development, budgets and cost analysis. The client’s optimum design had to be revised in order to suit their growing needs. New design drawings were initiated and an aggressive schedule was put in place for construction of the new dealership including a service bay, drive-thru lube shop, car wash and showroom. This meant timing and scheduling became a top priority which was compounded by winter construction.
The Grassmere Solution:
A Butler Building was selected as the cost effective and technically superior solution for the various building envelope requirements of an auto dealership. Grassmere was able to self-perform the work and control the schedule by working in conjunction with our sister company, KDM Erectors.
Eichenberg Chrysler is a 19,840 square foot Chrysler dealership, featuring a 2,400 square foot show room and a comfortable customer waiting lounge with viewing into the showroom and two quick-lube service drive-thru bays. After servicing, vehicles are run through the separate car wash bay and are then ready for the customer. The facility also includes eight air-conditioned service bays, complete with two detailing bays, a customer retail parts area off the showroom and a second-floor mezzanine for administration that overlooks the entire facility.
This design-build, state-of-the-art project was delivered on time and on budget, resulting in a satisfied customer.
