Grassmere Construction Ltd. is committed to providing accessible service, information, and employment practices in a way that respects the dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity of people with disabilities.
We are committed to meeting our obligations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA), the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Our Commitment
Grassmere is committed to identifying, removing, and preventing barriers for people with disabilities. We strive to make our services, communications, employment practices, and website accessible to all customers, employees, applicants, suppliers, visitors, and members of the public.
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that:

Accessible Customer Service
Grassmere is committed to providing accessible customer service. We welcome people with disabilities who use assistive devices, service animals, or support persons.
When communicating with a person with a disability, we will do so in a way that considers the person’s disability and individual needs.
Accessible Formats and Communication Supports
Upon request, Grassmere will provide or arrange accessible formats and communication supports for publicly available information.
Accessible formats may include large print, electronic formats, plain language, or another format that meets the needs of the person making the request.
We will consult with the person making the request to determine a suitable accessible format or communication support.

Website Accessibility
Grassmere is working to maintain a website that is accessible and usable for as many people as possible.
Our goal is for new web content on grassmere.com to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, where required and practicable under Ontario accessibility laws.
We are continuing to review our website and digital documents to improve accessibility, including:
- Page structure and headings
- Keyboard navigation
- Colour contrast
- Alternative text for meaningful images
- Form labels and error messages
- Accessible PDFs and downloadable documents
- Mobile and screen-reader usability

Employment Accessibility
Grassmere is committed to fair and accessible employment practices.
We will notify job applicants and employees that accommodations are available upon request during the recruitment process, assessment process, hiring process, and throughout employment.
Where needed, Grassmere will work with employees with disabilities to provide reasonable workplace accommodations.
Training
Grassmere will provide accessibility training to employees, volunteers, and others who provide goods, services, or facilities on our behalf, as required by the AODA.
Training may include:

- Requirements of Ontario’s accessibility standards
- The Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities
- How to communicate with people with different types of disabilities

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan
Grassmere is committed to maintaining a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines how we identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers.
Our accessibility priorities include:
1. Customer Service
We will continue to provide accessible customer service and respond to individual accessibility needs.
Actions:
- Review customer service procedures for accessibility.
- Train relevant employees on accessible customer service.
- Respond to accessibility-related feedback and requests in a timely manner.
2. Information and Communications
We will work to make public information accessible upon request.
Actions:
- Provide accessible formats and communication supports when requested.
- Review website content for accessibility.
- Improve accessibility of downloadable documents where practicable.
- Add accessibility considerations to future website updates.
3. Employment
We will continue to support accessible employment practices.
Actions:
- Notify applicants that accommodations are available during recruitment.
- Provide workplace accommodations where required.
- Review employment-related communications for accessibility.
4. Built Environment and Facilities
Where applicable, Grassmere will consider accessibility when making changes to public spaces or facilities.
Actions:
- Consider accessibility needs when planning facility improvements.
- Review public-facing areas for potential barriers where applicable.
- Respond to accessibility concerns related to physical access.
5. Ongoing Review
Grassmere will review this accessibility page and plan at least once every five years, or more often if required.
