Our History
Founded in 1988, the Grassmere name is derived from Lake Grassmere, which was part of the Wisconsin Glacier approximately 13,000 years ago. Also known as Lake Lundy, Lake Grassmere once covered southern Ontario, half of the state of Michigan and even reached as far east as Syracuse, New York. The name was chosen for its uniqueness and because the company was determined it had something special to offer.

Mike Booth has been a part of the company since 1989 and today is sole owner and President of Grassmere Construction Ltd.

Mike Booth
President
Mike joined the Grassmere team in 1989 and became a partner in the company in 1995. In 2006, he became sole owner of Grassmere Construction Ltd.
With a background in architecture and over 35 years of experience in the construction industry, Mike has strong leadership and management abilities and a meticulous approach to workmanship. He also serves as vice president of Grassmere’s sister company, KDM Erectors.
Patti Marsh
Controller
Patti joined us in 2003, and her keen analytical mind is a great asset to our team.
As an energetic, motivated individual who never loses sight of the big picture, Patti oversees the finance team and manages the day-to-day activities for both Grassmere and our sister company, KDM Erectors.
Herman Sinke
Pre-Construction Manager
Herman has been with Grassmere since 2012, bringing over 40 years of experience in the marketing, sales, estimating and project management aspects of the construction industry.
As Pre-Construction Manager, Herman’s specific expertise is in the design-build process—from concept to completion. With a background in Architectural Technology, he has managed a variety of industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sector projects.
